Frequently Asked Questions
Facility Questions, Straight Answers
How much does this cost against a roof replacement?
Plan on roughly 35 to 50 percent of replacement cost installed, with no tenant disruption and no weeks of open roof exposure. Most facility teams fund it as maintenance capital rather than a full re-roof line item.
How long before we are back up here again?
The system carries a 10-year warranty at 40 mils or 15-year at 60 mils across the entire surface. At end of warranty a single recoat renews it — you never repeat the full prep investment.
Our roof ponds water in a few spots. Is that a problem?
No. The silicone-class topcoat is specifically chosen for ponding resistance, which is where acrylic coatings fail and get warranty-excluded. Chronic ponding areas are documented and included in coverage.
Can maintenance staff still walk the roof?
Yes — the cured membrane is a 2,850 PSI film that takes normal service traffic to HVAC units. Designated high-traffic paths can get a granule-surfaced walkway built into the topcoat.
What colors does it come in?
Bright reflective white is standard and drops rooftop temperatures significantly; gray and tinted topcoats are available where appearance matters more than reflectivity.
Who actually does the installation?
Trained applicator crews in our network, or your incumbent roofing contractor after certification — several facility teams bring their existing vendor to us for exactly that. Either way, warranty jobs get film-thickness verification.
